Explore and Understand: Homelessness

Homelessness is defined as the situation of an individual, family, or community that is without stable, safe, permanent, appropriate housing or the immediate means and ability to acquire it.

Those experiencing homelessness might be living in a place not meant for human habitation, in an emergency shelter, in transitional housing or are exiting an institution where they temporarily resided.
