UPC Nebraska

Visit furry friends at the group’s pop-up Petting Zoo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 6 on Nebraska Union Plaza. This event is FREE for UNL students, faculty, & staff with Event Pass.

Fast Pitch Softball Club

The club is hosting fall tryouts on September 6 and September 8 from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at Fleming Fields. Students who would like to participate should fill out this form before attending.

National Society of Black Engineers

Join the club for a scavenger hunt across campus from 5:30 to 7 p.m. September 8 starting in Nebraska Hall 175 to help navigate campus and get to know the NSBE team.

Get ready for the upcoming career fair by learning how to build a resume or polish up an old one at the club’s Career Prep event from 6 to 7 p.m. September 8 in 105 Othmer Hall.

The entire student body is invited to attend the group’s annual Meet and Greet Tailgate from 5 to 7:30 p.m. September 8 at Nebraska Union for free food, games, and gifts for students interested in joining or renewing their membership.

The group is hosting a GSA Welcome Back Bash from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. September 8 in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room to give students the opportunity to network with graduate students, play games, connect with the Graduate Student Assembly, and learn about graduate school at UNL.

Best Buddies

Grab a pal and bring them to the Meiers Common (greenspace north of Nebraska Union) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. September 8 to join the club and partners from Heartland Habilitative Services for Backyard Buddy Bash, a Husker tailgate inspired social event with lawn games and snacks provided.

Join the club from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. September 8 for its Welcome Back Social with yard games and drinks outside Filley Hall facing the East Campus Loop.

Gamma Phi Beta & Farmhouse

The groups are hosting their annual Scoops for Schools philanthropy event from 6 to 10 p.m. September 8 on the green space across from Gamma Phi Beta (Corner of 16th & R). For a $4 ticket, purchased in advance, or a $5 ticket at the door, each supporter receives a customized Cookie Company ice cream sandwich. Proceeds benefits Lincoln Lighthouse, an After-School Program for middle and high school aged-youth.

Sustain UNL

Celebrate the beginning of a new school year at the Sustainability Kickoff from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. September 9 on the Nebraska Union Plaza. You will have the opportunity to interact with environmental organizations from both campus and the Lincoln community, play games and hang out at the booths for a chance to win a sustainability raffle.

Engineers Without Borders

The group is hosting their annual Collaborative Design Challenge September 9 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Nebraska Union Chimney Rock Room. Teams will compete to construct a community center following the EWB Engineering Design Process, while enjoying free food and prizes.

Bowling Club

The club is holding tryouts for the 2022-23 season from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. September 11 at Sun Valley Lanes & Games. Participants will play six games total between two challenging oil patterns. Fee to try out is $20.
