ASUN is hosting their ninth annual Earthstock event again this year. With 14 different events happening to get involved with. Along with events, UNL dining centers will also be engaging in sustainable acts throughout the month including providing plant forward entrees on April 6, 13, 20 and 27.

The Big Event
12 to 4 p.m. April 15

One Big Day to give One Big Thanks! This annual single-day-of-service benefits local nonprofits and residents in the greater Lincoln community. Hundreds of Huskers are needed to help.
Service projects will include assisting residents at private properties and residences; cleaning up at local parks; and volunteering at nonprofit organizations.

Sustain UNL Clothing Swap
12 to 2 p.m. April 17-18 (Drop Off)
12 to 2 p.m. April 20-21 (Swap)

Drop off clothes on April 17 and 18. Then pick out as many clothing items as you donated for the swap days on April 20 and 21. If you do not donate clothes, you can purchase clothes on swap days for $1 a piece.

This presentation will provide information regarding current levels of textile waste and recycling efforts in Nebraska including the role of thrift stores. Innovative approaches being developed at UNL in the area of fiber science will be featured.
