UNL Slam Poetry

Join the club to write, share, and hear poetry from 4 to 5 p.m. September 25 at the UNL Slam Poetry meeting in Burnett Hall. Bring a notebook and something to write with.

UNL Pre-Vet Club

Get your pooch washed by the members of the club during their Dog Wash Fundraiserfrom 6:30-8:30 p.m. September 25 at The Canine Scrub. Dogs of students, faculty, staff, and the public are welcome. No appointment is necessary. Baths include shampoo and towel drying. Dogs 20 lbs. and under are $15, 21-70 lbs. are $17, and 71 lbs. and over are $20. Air dry is $5 and nail trims are $10.

Delta Phi Lambda

In collaboration with First Generation Nebraska and OASIS, the org is hosting Bingo Night from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. September 26 in Nebraska Union to fundraise for the annual First-Generation Student Scholarship. The cost of bingo sheets will be $2. Raffle baskets will also be available to enter and bingo winners will get their names put in the raffle drawings.

Delta Sigma Pi

Students interested in joining the club can take part in a Shark Tank recruitment event from 7 to 8 p.m. September 27 at the College of Business. Work with members of DSP to create a product that solves a given problem. Prizes will be given at the end of the event.

Vietnamese Student Association

The Moon Festival holiday is celebrated in many East and Southeast Asian cultures, and it is a time for food, lanterns, spending time with friends and family, and celebrating the full moon. The club is hosting a Moon Festival Carnival from 4 to 8:30 p.m. on September 27 on Meier Commons to bring a sense of home to those who celebrate the holiday while also sharing their culture with new people on campus and in the community.

Herpetology Club

What came first, the nyasasaurus or the egg? Did the stegosaurus really look like that? Can a t-rex actually not see unmoving prey?
Join the club to learn the answers to all those and more at this dinosaur-themed Jurassic Adventures social event on September 28 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hardin Hall Auditorium.

Hang with your fellow Huskers at the club's Hanging with the Huskers event for an afternoon full of fun on September 28 from 12 to 4 p.m. outside Nebraska Union. There will be inflatables, a mechanical bull, and food.

Join the two clubs for the Ultimate Cricket Match from 1 to 4 p.m. on October 1st at Vine Street Fields. This event is open to everyone, so bring your family and friends. Take your chance in this bat-and-ball sport to have fun and win prizes.
