ChamberFest concerts coming up in December

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music ChamberFest concerts will run over three days in December on the UNL campus. All of the performances are free and open to the public.

UNL Honors ChamberFest concerts taking place on December 13th and 14th will feature the most advanced student ensembles from UNL's Chamber Music Program. The ensembles were selected by faculty from over 20 ensembles to represent some of the exciting work that has taken place throughout the semester. The first Honors ChamberFest Concert on December 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall will feature three piano trios: the triumphant Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major, Op. 8 by Johannes Brahms, Piano Trio, Op. 67 in e minor by Dmitri Shostakovich, and "Three Watercolors" by Phillipe Gaubert. On the second Honors ChamberFest Concert on December 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall, student ensembles will perform String Quartet No. 3 by Dmitri Shostakovich, Suite No. 1 for Two Pianos by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Kleine Kammermusik, Op. 24 No. 2 by Paul Hindemith, and Piano Trio in E-flat Major "Kegelstatt," K. 498 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The ChamberFest Concert on December 10 will take place in the Westbrook Recital Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m. This concert will feature student ensembles from UNL's Chamber Music Program. Please join us for an exciting tour as students perform chamber works from many time periods and places.
