The College of Education and Human Sciences' Textiles, Merchandising & Fashion Design students are teaming up once again with students from across the UNL campus to present their biennial runway show, taking place this year on Earth Day, Friday April 22, in the Nebraska Union’s Centennial Ballroom. Working with students from the Department of Nutrition & Health Sciences (catering program), the Johnny Carson School of Theater (lighting and stage management), the Glenn Korff School of Music (composition), and CASNR’s Department of Agronomy and Horticulture (Floral Design), TMFD designers are spotlighting the theme ELEMENTS and creating imaginative ensembles inspired by earth, air, fire and water.
Extending the collaborative effort beyond the UNL campus, students from Paul Mitchell the School of Lincoln will join forces with the TMFD's fashion design students to create hair and makeup stylings for the runway models. A special highlight will include the latest collections from professional designers and TMFD alumni Kendra Benson of This Woman's Work in Brooklyn, NY, and Jill Fellers of Jillian Fellers Bridal in Lincoln.
VIP sponsor tickets are $75.00 and include a pre-show heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktail reception from 5:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union’s Regency Suite, front row reserved seating, a VIP gift bag, and a post-show dessert reception.
General admission tickets are $15.00 and include unreserved seating. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
