Soul Line Dancing Class Starts Sept. 5

Soul Line Dancing lessons will be held 5-6 p.m. Tuesdays Sept. 5-Oct. 10 at the Campus Rec Center. Participants will learn the popular flash mob-style dance routines and choreography found at weddings and parties in this new class offering taught by OASIS staff member Kevin Reese. Dances include the Electric Slide; the Cupid Shuffle; the Wobble; the Love Slide; Shake Ya Tailfeather; the Whitney Houston Slide; and more.

Soul Line Dancing brings a cultural connection that traces its roots to Africa and the Caribbean. The simplest definition of the form of dance is choreographed line dancing to R&B and hip-hop songs.

Fees for the full 6-week class are $10 for UNL students or Campus Rec members and $15 for General Public. Participants can register online at the link below or in person at the Member Services Desk at the Campus Rec Member, Rec & Wellness Center or Outdoor Adventures Center. Registrations deadline is August 31.
