Peppermint is an American actress, singer, reality television personality, drag queen and trans-activist best known as a fixture in the New York City nightlife scene and as the runner-up on the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Of her activism, Peppermint has stated: “Women have always been directly and indirectly contributing to the art form of drag. Like voting, driving, working, even eventually the Office of President of United States, drag evolves. My hope is that together, we can uplift all forms of drag, both on TV, and in the real world.”

Peppermint will be making a brief speech related to her activism followed by an extensive Q&A with audience members, which is her preferred way to communicate. Come prepared with questions for Peppermint—she’s excited to dialogue with UNL students who want to learn more about her trans-activism and drag experiences!

The event is sponsored by the Residence Life's MADE program - Multicultural Awareness and Diversity Education.
