The head of Data Science for Aviation at Uber Technologies, Jon Petersen, will discuss urban congestion and how it is expected to only worsen with increased migration to cities. The discussion will focus on how Uber is leveraging recent technological advancements to unlock a third dimension of urban mobility and how data and optimization are being deployed to build and scale the Uber Air network. The presentation Friday, March 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Howard L. Hawks Hall 231 is organized by the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics at the College of Business.
