Three-time Nebraska track and field All-American, Angela Mercurio, has been named the 2019 NCAA Woman of the Year. As the second University of Nebraska-Lincoln student-athlete to receive the honor, Mercurio joins former Husker volleyball national champion Billie Winsett-Fletcher, who earned the honor in 1996.

Mercurio was featured via videoconference during the inaugural State of Diversity and shared her thoughts on the awards while promoting her excitement on the newly established Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
