Register is open and seats are still available for the course "In Love with Nora Roberts."
Who is consummate storyteller and publishing phenomenon Nora Roberts? Why are her books so popular? How has she redefined the romance novel form? Why does she use the series as a vehicle for storytelling? How does she write successfully in multiple sub-genres? These questions are explored though mini-lectures and discussions of five titles.
Reading List: Prior to the first class, read Roberts’ novel “Playing the Odds.” The other titles include: the contemporary novel “Sea Swept;” the fantasy “Dark Witch;” the suspense novel “The Obsession;” and “Naked in Death,” the futuristic police procedural written under the pseudonym J. D. Robb.
