Sketch Interest Group
The OLLI Sketch Interest Group will meet from on Monday, Oct 9, 3-4:30. There are alternate sites in the event of rain. This is the seasonal transition at Sunken Gardens and the plant life is at its absolute peak. We will meet there if it doesn't rain, or if things have dried up after an early rain that day. If it is raining or if rain is threatening near the meeting time, we will rendezvous in Meeting Room 1 at Walt Branch Library, 6701 S 14th St.
Come join us. Bring your pencil and a we can provide the paper. Everyone with even the slightest of a sketch itch is welcome. No experience expected.

Baseball Interest Group
The OLLI Baseball Interest Group will be meeting at a new location in October. The Northside Cafe has closed. So the meeting for October will meet at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Stauffer's Cafe & Pie Shoppe, 5600 S. 48th Street. We will plan on meeting in the small meeting room at the north end of the cafe. We will still have pie, coffee and a lot of good baseball conversation.
It is playoff baseball time so we will talk about each team's chances. The Twins and the Rockies are already eliminated but had years that exceeded their preseason projections. Are the Cleveland Indians the favorites to win it all this year? Can the Cubs repeat? Are the Dodgers over their late season losing streak and ready to win it all? What about the Astros? Come and argue for your favorite team.
It is also time to talk about MLB awards. Who do you favor for MVP, Cy Young, Manager of the Year and Rookie of the Year in each league?
And not to forget Cornhusker baseball -- they are playing three "Red-White" games. The first game starts at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 and then they plan on playing a doubleheader starting at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16. Anyone interested in going to those games and checking out the new Cornhuskers?
Remember -- Don't go to the Northside Cafe - we will be meeting at Stauffer's on October 10.
