The story of Kalief Browder

The OLLI Diversity Committee is partnering with the YWCA and the Let's Talk Alliance to hold this event. Two documentary films, “Time: The Kalief Browder Story” and “The Obama Years: The Power of Words” will be shown on two separate nights. This event is free and open to the public.

“The Kalief Browder Story” addresses systemic racism in the context of community policing and incarceration.

“The Obama Years: The Power of Words,” an hour-long Smithsonian Channel documentary, tells the story of Barack Obama and takes viewers inside the defining moments of his political career through the prism of his most memorable speeches.

After viewing the film, there will be time for discussion led by members of YWCA and Let's Talk Alliance.
