The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in partnership with the Confucius Institute at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are yet again leading a trip to China for OLLI members. This is a once in a lifetime trip visiting four major Chinese cities that provide travelers with a taste of Chinese history and society. During our travels, we will visit the cities and historic places of Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai and Suzhou. Our tour guide will be Chris Heselton, associate director of the Confucius Institute, scholar of Chinese history and long-time resident of China. The group will have escorted tours of each city.

Travel Package
The Cost of the trip depends on the number of people going on the trip. Prices listed here are for the travel package, which includes local travel, inter-city travel, hotel accommodations, listed meals, local guide, and entrance price for the various sites visited. Travelers will be responsible for international airfare, international travel insurance, tipping (not common in China), visa expenses, and personal expenses. Below is an estimate of the cost.

15-19 Travelers
$2,610 per person (Double Occupancy Room)
$3,220 per person (Single Occupancy Room)

20+ Travelers
$2,400 per person (Double Occupancy Room)
$3,000 per person (Single Occupancy Room)
