Students can manage their health care needs anytime, anywhere with the University Health Center’s two new mobile applications: Nebraska Medicine and Nebraska Medicine Pharmacy.

With the Nebraska Medicine app, students can use telehealth video visits to see University Health Center providers from the comfort of their home. Some telehealth visits are covered by student fees and others can be submitted to private insurance. Common reasons for scheduling a telehealth visit include:

  • Coughs and colds
  • Sinus infections
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Nutrition counseling
  • Physical therapy
  • Mental health medication management and more
The Nebraska Medicine app also can be used to message a health center provider, view test results, schedule appointments and view medication information. Download the app for Apple or Android. Visit the health center website to learn more about telehealth services.

Another helpful app is Nebraska Medicine Pharmacy, which allows students to:
  • Request prescription refills
  • Check a prescription status
  • Schedule refill reminders
  • Set reminders to take medications
  • Manage their prescription profile and view their prescription history
This app replaces the Pharmacy Connect app previously used by the health center pharmacy. Visit https://health.unl.edu/pharmacy to learn more. To download the app, text APP to 54053.

In addition to the new Nebraska Medicine Pharmacy app, the health center now offers text message notifications when a prescription is ready for pickup, in the mail or ready for refill. Your student can enroll in text messaging by calling 402-472-7457.
