A new student organization in the College of Business is forming to build community and create opportunities for LGBTQIA+ students and allies to lift up each other.

The organization will create an inclusive environment to continue the mission of the College of Business to drive discovery, create opportunity and empower individuals to lead the future of business. This group is open to all out and allied students majoring or minoring in business who want to get involved with empowering this community.

It joins four other LGBTQIA+-focused student organizations on campus: Spectrum UNL, Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM), TRANSform and National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals. This organization is the second on campus to build community and leadership within this audience and within an academic discipline.

If your student is interested in joining this Recognized Student Organization (RSO), encourage them to send an email to jbeam@unl.edu; they should include their name, major/minor and why they want to be a member of this organization.
