The Nebraska Alumni Association has launched a new “Buy 1, Donate 1” facemask program that lets alumni and friends of UNL make a big difference to kids and families in our state who need help.
For $15, you can purchase a new, limited-edition Scarlet & Cream facemask. PLUS, for each mask purchased, one also will be donated to a Nebraska Community Health Center to distribute to children and families, many of whom can’t afford the protection they need. Click here to learn more
Many alumni have asked for ways to make a difference during the pandemic. By donating a mask with your purchase, you can help kids be safer in schools and help our neighbors protect each other.
These masks come complete with:
- Special plaid or argyle design to complement your Husker apparel.
- Three layers of fabric for excellent protection.
- Adjustable ear loops and nose band to ensure a good fit.
- Adult and youth sizes.
The project is part of a nationwide partnership organized by our Big Ten colleagues at the Minnesota Alumni Association. That’s why you’ll go to Minnesota’s online marketplace to get your mask.
We’re trying to donate 1,000 masks for Nebraska children and families by the end of the year, and we’re off to a great start. Donating a face mask is just another way we can show Huskers look out for each other and that there is no place like Nebraska.
