University updates COVID-19 protocols for spring 2022

Due to the growing spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is moving forward with new safety protocols for the spring 2022 semester.

Nominations for family and friends awards due Jan. 7, 2022

You can nominate a faculty or staff member who has made a significant difference in your student's life. It's easy to complete the form to recognize this individual's contributions. All nominees will be recognized at a formal ceremony in March.

Holidays for Little Huskers provides gifts for student parents

Bags and boxes full of puzzles, toys and tiny clothes took over the Women’s Center the week of Dec. 13. The items were collected for Holidays for Little Huskers, a toy drive organized since 2018 to benefit the smallest members of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln community.

Dinsdale Family Learning Commons wins Nebraska’s highest architecture design award

The American Institute of Architects’ Nebraska chapter presented DLR Group its highest design honor for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Dinsdale Family Learning Commons. The extensive $22.5 million renovation revitalized and completely changed the landscape of the university’s East Campus.

17 students named Chancellor’s Scholars

Seventeen University of Nebraska–Lincoln students will be recognized as Chancellor’s Scholars during the undergraduate commencement ceremony Dec. 18. Chancellor’s Scholars are students who have maintained 4.0 grade-point averages on all collegiate work at Nebraska and elsewhere.

Nebraska awards 1,344 degrees during December ceremonies

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln conferred 1,344 degrees during commencement exercises Dec. 17 and 18 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The 1,316 graduates are from 41 countries, 43 states and the District of Columbia, and more than 150 Nebraska communities.
