On-campus meal plans offer convenience and tasty dining options, even for students who live off-campus.

Meal plans offered by Dining Services offer all students flexibility when dining on campus. Regardless of dining preferences or class schedules, there is something for everyone.

As UNL student Kaitlyn Lee explains, “I love having an off-campus meal plan because I don’t have to go to the grocery store all the time. And it’s convenient for me going to and from East [Campus] for classes! Also, I never have to worry about cooking.”

CLOSE BY OPTIONS
With three dining centers on City Campus and one on East Campus, students are never more than a few minutes away from a delicious, all-you-care-to-eat meal. They can use multiple swipes during a visit to bring a friend or treat their roommates to a delicious treat. In addition, the Selleck Food Court and Nebraska Union, each offer multiple eateries located near the heart of City Campus.

Students also can try a made-to-order sandwich from Husker Heroes or grab snacks and other goodies from one of six Herbie’s Markets, five on City Campus and one in the Nebraska East Union. Finally, students can try a cozy cup of coffee at our campus’ very own Tazza Coffee shops.

CONVENIENT AND TIMELY
All meal plans come with a varying combination of meal swipes and Dining Dollars to make the dining experience as simple as possible. Students use meal swipes in the dining centers, or as meal exchanges in the Herbie’s Markets, Husker Heroes or Selleck Food Court. Dining Dollars can be used in all dining locations as well as at food vendors located in the Nebraska Unions.

Your student’s next meal is always just a few clicks away with the Transact Mobile Ordering app, which works seamlessly with a meal plan. Now they can order a meal and have it ready by the time class gets out.

VARIETY OF MEALS
With homemade pizza, freshly grilled burgers and top-of-the-line ethnic cuisine just steps away, there truly is something for everyone. Looking for allergen- and/or gluten-aware dining? Your student can try the 8+ allergen-free serving line in the Harper Dining Center, or Moxie’s Gluten-free Café found in the Selleck Food Court. When spending nights on campus studying or hanging out with friends, late night options at the Harper Dining Center include Varsity Pizza and Champion’s Chicken, and Husker Heroes at Abel is open until 11 p.m.

BUILD YOUR MENU
To help keep students informed to make smart, healthful dining decisions, Dining Services uses NetNutrition®. Through the online portal, students can filter out items made with certain meal plan options to help your student find a plan that best fits their needs and lifestyle. The Silver 150/1000 and Bronze 100/550 meal plans are great options for off-campus students. College can be challenging but finding the next meal doesn’t have to be.
