Success Workshops and One-on-One Coaching Available to Students

By October, most students have settled into a study routine. Your student might be experiencing more tests, papers, and projects compared to high school. These increased expectations also might be causing some apprehension around grades It is not uncommon for students to receive a grade lower than they anticipated on their work. This reality check may provoke some students to consider new ways of studying.

First-Year Experience & Transition Programs is here to help. We offer Success Workshops (http://success.unl.edu/support/workshops) on a variety of skills that help students gain the competitive edge. Topics include reading strategies, test-taking skills, note taking, and study environments. The free and open workshops are scheduled in various campus locations and at various times during the week to accommodate your student’s schedule.
