The UNL College of Business Administration will be hosting the State Farm Ethics Lecture Series and two Executive Power Series during November. All events are open to the public.

The State Farm Ethics Lecture will feature Colonel Arthur Athens, USBC (retired) and director of the U.S. Naval Academy’s Vice Admiral Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership, on Tuesday, November 4 at 3:30 p.m. in the Lied Center for Performing Arts. Athens will be speaking on “The Power of Integrity.” Integrity is essential for living ethical lives of purpose and impact and building teams founded on trust and commitment. His presentation is free.

The CBA Executive Power Events provide knowledge, skills and the tools required to improve leadership and performance capabilities as well as position professionals and businesses for growth in our increasingly competitive economy. CBA invites the business community to learn from our renowned faculty experts who will present timely topics in a best practices format in the 90-minute Executive Power Events.

Dr. Donna Dudney, associate professor of finance, will discuss “Evaluating Risk and Communicating Complicated Financial Information” at the Executive Power Lunch on Wednesday, November 12 at the Wick Alumni Center at 11:30 a.m. She will present techniques for identifying and forecasting relevant cash flows to help determine financial impact of decisions. She will also discuss how to adjust for risk and how to synthesize and communicate complicated financial information.

Dr. Dwayne Ball, chair and associate professor of marketing, will present on “Solving Marketing Problems with Big Data and Analytics” at the Executive Power Breakfast on Wednesday, November 19 at the TD Ameritrade Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska at 7:30 a.m. He will explore maximizing profits from cross-selling and up-selling initiatives, maximizing new customer value from acquisition attempts and developing and evaluating marketing strategies for customer segments.
