Top 11 Things To Do Over Thanksgiving Break In Lincoln

1. University Housing will be having a Thanksgiving meal on Nov 27th from 1-3pm for all housing students.

2. Take a Tour of the Capital. Tours are every hour on the hour (except for at noon). It will be closed Thanksgiving and the day after, but open Wednesday 8am-5pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, and Sunday 1pm-5pm.

3. Ask a faculty member if you could join them for a meal.

4. Volunteer to serve a Thanksgiving meal at a local shelter like Matt Talbott, The Gathering Place, or People’s City Mission.

5. Go visit a neighboring small town with a friend.

6. Make a day trip to Omaha and visit the Zoo.

7. Visit the Natural History Museum on campus.

8. Explore the Haymarket – paint some pottery at Paint Yourself Silly and then grab some Ice Cream at Ivanna Cone.

9. Check out the surrounding Museums - Roller-skating museum, Museum of American Speed, Quilt Museum, the Natural History Museum, and more.
