Hi Friends. Parents Weekend 2015 is just around the corner. Hope you are registered to join us between October 2-4, 2015 and explore your son/daughter's life at UNL.
Along with many other activities, we would like to do a Silent Auction this year as a Fundraiser. The funds generated will be used to support groups on campus who need assistance (ultimately to benefit UNL students).
On behalf of the Parents Association I would like to request donations for this event. You may donate a basket pertaining to a theme like Movie Night, football or from a particular region. I will donate a basket of Indian snacks, for example. Parents of UNL students will be coming from near and far to attend this special weekend, and the Silent Auction provides a fun way for parents to support the UNL Parents Association as they purchase the donated items. However, we cannot accept any alcohol or tobacco items. All items donated must be in line with UNL policies and guidelines.
Due to Nebraska Gaming requirements, we are required to collect actual or estimated value amounts for items donated. If you could provide that information with your donation, it will help us comply with this requirement.
Please send items to UNL Parents Association, c/o Tonda Humphress, 106 Canfield Administration Building, Lincoln NE 68588-0423 by the week of September 21 (if your student is willing to drop the items off, that will work too). You are also welcome to bring completed baskets with you when you come for the Parents weekend and can leave them with us prior to Registration.
