Are you concerned it takes a long time for your student to get checked in at the University Health Center (UHC)? Are they on hold too long when they call to schedule their next appointment or to speak with a nurse about a health care concern?

If so, encourage your student to sign up for One Chart | Patient, a free patient portal with the following benefits:

  • Speed up the waiting process with eCheck-in. By using this function to complete the necessary paperwork in advance, your student will be in and out of the check-in desk in no time.
  • Conveniently schedule the next appointment online from a computer or phone. No more calling and waiting in line for our staff to take your student’s call for a return appointment. Have your student ask his or her provider if they are available for direct scheduling.
  • Easily access medical records from an electronic device. No more filling out medical records request paperwork and waiting several business days for them to be sent. A student’s patient portal will contain his or her current health issues, current medications, lab results, allergies and immunizations given at the University Health Center and more. Those records will stay with them after they leave UNL.
  • Request a prescription renewal from a provider. Please note that prescription refills cannot be requested from One Chart | Patient. UHC Pharmacy refills can be completed online, with our Pharmacy Health Connect Phone app (available in the App Store or Google Play) or by calling our Pharmacy at 402-472-7457.
  • Direct message the health care team with questions about symptoms, medications and more.

Students also can download the MyChart app to help care for their health on the go, available in the App Store or Google Play.

Students will receive a letter upon check-in at their first UHC appointment containing a One Chart | Patient access code. Your student must follow the steps on the letter and use his or her access code to sign up for this portal. If your student has lost his or her access code, he or she can call or email UHC to recover it.

Students who are 18 and have a Power of Attorney form on file at UHC are able to use the portal with some limitations.
