Residence Hall Move-Out to Support Sustainability

Student residents will soon begin moving out of the UNL residence halls. University Housing has partnered with Goodwill, UNL Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and the Student Affairs Huskers Helping Huskers Pantry+ to collect items as students leave their residence hall rooms.

Goodwill will place bins throughout residence halls to collect any clothing students want to donate. Rollaway dumpsters will be parked in front of hall complexes where students can leave unwanted electronics, TVs, and computers, as well as any metal, such as futon frames. Any food items that students don’t want to take with them can help keep the shelves stocked at the food pantry, located in the Nebraska Union.

Students will begin seeing information in residence halls in mid-April on how they can support sustainability efforts as they move out of the residence halls.
