Dear Husker Parents,

With the new school year finally here, it's never too early to encourage your Husker to begin looking for job opportunities. Throughout September, there will be events and opportunities for students to better prepare them for upcoming job interviews and this year's career fair.

Husker Suit Up:
Students have the opportunity to build their professional attire wardrobe. JCPenny opens their doors to Nebraska students to receive an additional 40% off all professional attire. Husker Suit-Up will take place Sunday, September 9, 6:30pm-9:30pm at Gateway Mall's JCPenney Store.

Backpacks to Briefcases:
Your student is also encouraged to check out Backpacks to Briefcases, hosted by the Nebraska Student Alumni Association and Career Services. This is a unique event where students engage in fast-paced presentations and round table conversations led by industry professionals, career advisors and campus leaders to help prepare for the upcoming career fair and interview season. This year's Backpacks to Briefcases will be Thursday, September 20, 6pm-8pm in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room.

Career Fair:
This year's career fair will be held September 25-27. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about opportunities within their field, connect with future employers and get a head start on the year!

September 25, 1pm-5pm: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Career Fair | Pinnacle Bank Arena
September 26, 1pm-5pm: Business and Liberal Arts Career Fair | Pinnacle Bank Arena
September 27, 10am-3pm: Agricultural Science and Natural Resources Career Fair | Nebraska East Campus Union
