It is nearing the end of the 2021 Pesticide Safety Training season and there may still be stragglers wishing to get their recertification. That is understandable considering the unique year we have all had.
Initial Commercial Applicator Training: For commercial applicators wishing to receive their initial training, they must either attend an in person training and take the appropriate exams ($80 online registration) OR attend an NDA proctored exam ($5 online registration). If there are not any Initial trainings or NDA proctored exams they may take their exams through the Pearson VUE testing service ($55). They are not able to utilize the online recertification program.
Recertification Commercial Applicator Training: Recertification training can be completed through an in-person training session ($80 online registration), an NDA proctored exam session ($5 online registration), OR they can utilize the online recertification training program ($80 online registration, link below).
Private Initial and Recertification: Private training should be attended in-person ($50) if possible. Applicators can, however, use the online private training program ($50) for initial certification or for recertification. The online private allows private applicators a chance to "test out" of the training based on their understanding of the material. They must pass at a rate of 70% or higher. There is also a hard-copy self-study option ($75), but the PSEP office DOES NOT RECOMMEND this option unless it is an absolute last resort. It is also the most expensive option.
Chemigation: For those applicators wishing to receive their chemigation license they should attend an in-person training session (FREE) if possible. If they are unable to attend an in-person training session, they can use the online Chemigation training program (FREE).
