Dustin is a die-hard Husker fan, proven when you walk into his office filled with Husker memorabilia! His dedication to the University of Nebraska over the past 25 years has enhanced the landscape here by facilitating the bid process of a multitude of construction projects.
Dustin shares, "I am coming up on 25 years of full-time employment at the University of Nebraska. I started working at the University of Nebraska part-time as a student back in 1992 at the Clifford Hardin Center for Continuing Education on East Campus. I accepted my first full-time position in 1993 at the same facility as a Hotel Service Associate and have not looked back since. When the Hardin Center closed in 2001, I moved on to Extended Education & Outreach for a brief stint before accepting a position with Academic Conferences & Institutes. After doing some travel facilitating conferences around the country, I moved on to Facilities Planning & Construction as a Project Team Coordinator and then transitioned into my current role as Senior Sourcing Specialist with Procurement Services."
Dustin's warm personality and professionalism fosters positive supplier relationships as well as campus stakeholder satisfaction. His primary focus is managing prime supplier contracts for services and supplies for Facilities Management & Planning and UNL Housing as well as facilitating the bid processes for construction, remodel and renovation projects by FMP.
When not at work, Dustin enjoys sporting events, outdoor activities and movie watching. There's a pretty good chance you'll find him at a Husker sporting event or coaching his son in youth sports. He loves steak and says if he could fly he would go to the Sawgrass Steakhouse on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX for dinner. Here in Lincoln, Texas Roadhouse is a favorite.
One more tidbit about Dustin - he loves Braum's Butter Brickle ice cream! And always.......GO BIG RED!
