The Cost per Copy Program and Canon have taken major steps to increase customer service and University of Nebraska stakeholder satisfaction.

Canon has assigned Teri Natoli, a Canon Director, to help review and reorganize Canon and Cost per Copy offerings of devices and service. Canon will replace the entire 3000 series of multi-functional devices (MFD’s) (342 devices) at UNL, UNK and UNO with the 4000 series devices at no additional cost. Canon will replace approximately 100 MFD’s by the end of September.

Additionally, Canon has placed Aaron North at UNL as an on-site representative for all three universities to provide enhanced service awareness and communication. Aaron will work closely with the management team at the Cost per Copy program to assist departments with transitioning devices, monitor service issues and provide training. You may see Aaron re-labeling your device, helping with end users' requests for service or supplies or just touching base.

Canon, Procurement and Cost per Copy are developing a Managed Printer Service (MPS) program to help departments save upwards of 35% of their current desktop printer cost of ownership. This program will offer service, parts, toner and device replacement, thus reducing the need to stockpile supplies and or parts. Canon's print management software will provide guidance for improved printer utilization and equipment opportunities for the University system. Additional benefits of this software include card swipes for secure printing and the ability for departments to change from traditional faxes to fax printing or email.

Cost per Copy, Procurement and Canon are committed to providing increased service and communication that will promote departmental and university wide savings.
