Procurement Services is pleased to announce that Sara Luther has accepted the position of Assistant Director of Procurement Operations for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Sara is well known to many on the Lincoln campus, having held the title of Sourcing Specialist for over seven years, as well as managing a wide variety of major project purchases, bids and contracts for furniture, food stores and athletics. Sara graduated from UNL in 2003, and after some time away, returned to Lincoln in 2008. Since then, she has held several roles in University Services and Procurement, serving as a key member on the University’s implementation teams for the e-commerce platforms, eSHOP and eBID. Her leadership helped to develop, and continues to drive our popular Supplier Showcase, now approaching its tenth installment in October 2019.
Sara is active in professional associations on campus (UNOPA), and she holds various positions with the National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP), currently serving on the National Board of Directors as a District Representative.
Known for her positive attitude, diligence and enthusiasm, Sara is also a busy mother of two sons, Camden and Henry, and an avid golfer. She and her husband, Justin, are devoted Husker fans and enjoy a wide variety of activities with their family and friends.
