Spring Courses: CASC 400 & CASC 391

CASC 400 - Career Ready, Life Ready | 1-credit hour | Tu 2:00pm - 3:15pm | CPEH 130 | Allison Docter

The course is designed for graduating seniors planning to enter the workforce. The first half of class walks through each stage of the job search process, then the final half walk through life skills/lessons, like creating community, entering the workforce, budgeting/financial literacy, and cost of living planning. The class is meant to be highly practical, discussion-based, and engaging.

CASC 391 - Touchstones: Experimental Learning for Graduating Seniors | 0- credit hour | various times, locations, and instructors

Students meet weekly for engaged discussion of a short text, developing critical life and career skills including active listening, intentional speaking, analytical reasoning, collaboration, and shared leadership. This course is Experimental Learning (EL)-certified (qualifying under the "Leadership" category). It provides a low-cost pathway to meeting this degree requirement; the only student expense will be the required book.
