Summer 2026 Faculty-Led Programs!

Summer French Program in Angers, France: 6 transfer credits of French, students spend a weekend in Paris when they arrive, then stay in a host home for their 4 weeks of intensive French learning, accompanied by Francoise Agena.

Primatology Field Methodologies: 3 credits (TBD), students will stay in Ihofa Forest, a large parcel of intact tropical moist forest with 13 species of lemur, and learn field methodologies. This program will be "rustic" and students will stay in tents. With Dr. Tim Sefczek

NEW FOR 2026! Brazil Through Music, Art & Activism: 3 credits, HIST 286 The Music of Protest in Salvador, Brazil. Students will learn about the history of slavery in Brazil, music's impact on the culture of Brazil, study Portuguese, dance and learn capoeira. With Dr. Dawne Curry.

RETURNING FOR 2026! Korean Global Wave:6 credits, including GLST 391: Learning Abroad, Korean Global Wave: Globalization, Society and Culture and 3 transfer credits. This program ran successfully in 2024, and is returning for 2026. Students will stay at Dankook University (DKU) for 4 weeks in the dorms, will take a summer class in the Academic Program through DKU, explore Seoul, and more. With Dr. Chris Heselton.

Bonus program, being run through Honors and the Explore Center with CAS biochemistry faculty member Dr. Erin Sayer. Costa Rica: Striving for Affordable Care in San Jose. Students will learn about the American insurance and health care system and compare it with the Costa Rican single payer health care system. This program prioritizes Honor's students, but any student interested in a career in health care will benefit. This will be the 4th year this program has run.
