The Bureau of Sociological Research (BOSR) is now hiring data collators for a specific research project. These positions assist with several in‑person studies, including observing seat belt and car seat use and canvassing census tracts for tobacco retailers. Work is conducted outdoors and may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends, with typical days involving about eight hours of field data collection (breaks provided). This position involves travel across the state of Nebraska, so applicants must be able to drive. Locations for each project may require long-distance travel or occasional overnight stays. University rental vehicles will be provided by BOSR. Data collectors will work an average of 20-30 hours per week with short breaks between projects. Paid, in‑person training is required prior to each study, with the first session held the week of May 25, 2026. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour.
