Family Service Lincoln is a local non-profit hiring spring interns to work with their before/after school programs for K-5th grade students. This paid internship ($15/hour) begins with a required orientation on August 3rd or August 13th and runs through the fall semester.
Interns gain experience in executing lesson plans, behavior modification, active supervision, leading groups, speaking to families, and having fun with students through play. Inters receive training in CPR/First Aid, understanding Child Abuse and Neglect, Classroom Management, Challenging Behaviors, and more. Additional opportunities for professional development are provided (like attending a Family Service Lincoln board meeting, sitting in on a principal and or parent meeting, or shadowing School Community Coordinators).
