Destinee Cooper, one of our graduate researchers, is conducting a pilot study for her dissertation focused on culturally relevant pedagogy in chemistry. Please see her call for participation below and feel free to share it with colleagues beyond PROSPECT who may be interested.

Culturally relevant pedagogy (CRP) is an asset-based framework that supports more inclusive classrooms by centering students’ strengths and backgrounds in instruction. To better understand and support chemistry instructors’ adoption and implementation of CRP we are looking to interview higher education chemistry faculty with all levels of knowledge, experience, or interest in student-centered teaching approaches.

If you are interested or have any questions, please email Destinee Cooper (dkjohns@clemson.edu).
