Big Red Pawp-Ups this week:
December 15 City Campus: Love Library South, Peterson Room, 12:00pm-1:30pm
December 16 East Campus: Dinsdale Family Learning Commons, Kimmel Foundation Room, 12:00pm-1:30pm
Over the past couple years, we’ve faced many challenges that have impacted our physical and mental health. This semester, UNL Big Red Resilience is launching a new program, the Big Red Pawp-Up, that will bring therapy dogs to campus. Research studies have shown that exposure to therapy dogs on college campuses reduces stress and anxiety for students

In this new program, certified therapy dog teams will ‘pawp’-up on both City and East Campus once per month and be available to students, faculty, and staff. Abbey Ragain, Suicide Prevention and Outreach Coordinator will coordinate the City campus visits and Erin Bauer, Graduate Lecturer and wellness coordinator for the Entomology Department, will coordinate the East Campus ones. The organization Uplifting Paws will provide the therapy dog teams.
So mark your calendars: come pet a dog and de-stress!
