REACH©
SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAINING
Anyone can help prevent suicide by learning the risk factors, warning signs, and how to intervene. REACH© is the name of the university's suicide prevention training program designed to help the campus community prevent suicide by teaching faculty, staff and students how to:
Recognize warning signs
Engage with empathy
Ask directly about suicide
Communicate hope
Help suicidal individuals to access care and treatment
Many different clubs, classes, fraternities and sororities, and RSOs have participated in REACH trainings. If you are interested in planning a REACH training for your organization, go to https://preventsuicide.unl.edu/request-reach-training or contact Abbey Ragain at abbey.ragain@unl.edu.
