In the Heights, winner of four 2008 Tony Awards® and the 2008 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album, is coming to the Lied Center for two performances on Friday, March 2nd at 7:30 pm and Saturday, March 3rd at 7:30 pm.
In the Heights tells the story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood, a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.
Tickets to the March 2nd performance at 7:30pm are priced at $49, $45 and $41, and may be purchased online at http://www.liedcenter.org or by calling 402-472-4747.
In addition, Laurie Lessman, the Voice and Beginning Piano Instructor at Harris Music Studios will be giving the pre-talk for Friday’s performance. Alisa Belflower, UNL musical theater director will be giving the pre-talk for the Saturday performance. Both talks are at 7:00 pm in the Steinhart Room.
We encourage all of our students to attend, as this is a wonderful opportunity to see just a glimpse of all the events the Lied Center brings so close to our campus all year round.
