University Program Council (UPC) & The Lied Center present: Second City Workshop
Second City Workshop, originating from their theatre in the heart of downtown Chicago in the early 60’s and extending on to places like Toronto and Las Angeles, is an interactive lecture that gives students the chance to learn more about the world of Improvisational Comedy.
They have started many television programs, and since their debut have consistently been a starting point for comedians, award winning actors, directors, and others in show business. So if this sounds like anything you want to do or even just try, this is the event for you!
It will consist of half lecture and half demonstration, with a high level of student involvement, guided by entertainment professionals from across the country.
It will take place in the Steinhart Room at the Lied Center from 3:00-4:30 p.m. (doors open at 2:30). It is free to all students, but sign up quickly! Registration is only available for the first 120 people.
