New Face in Student Involvement

You may have noticed a new face around the Student Involvement Office. We would like to officially introduce Joe Hagerty, Program Coordinator for Student Organizations to the team! Check out Joe's quick bio below.

As the Program Coordinator for Student Organizations in the Office of Student Involvement, Joe provides leadership, support, resources, and programmatic opportunities to Recognized Student Organizations and helps mentor and onboard new RSO’s from their inception. Additionally, Joe serves as the advisor for UNL’s Dance Marathon Chapter and assists the students in raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through fundraising and programming on campus and in the community.

Joe received his B.S. in Business Administration-Marketing and his Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Student Affairs in Higher Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). Before working at UNL, Joe worked at the University of Nebraska at Omaha as the Spirit & Tradition Coordinator in the Office of Spirit & Tradition. In this role Joe advised the School Spirit and Student Section Programming Board and was responsible for creating, developing, and implementing school spirit and tradition programming at sporting events and throughout the university.

Joe is a corn-fed Nebraska native and is excited to be working at the state’s land-grant University. Joe enjoys all Husker athletics and looks forward to supporting students and promoting their learning, growth, and development in his new role in Student Involvement!
