An Important Street Festival update

Street Festival
Street Festival

NSE is moving forward with planning for the Street Festival. However, in light of evolving COVID-19 guidelines and best practices for ensuring our community’s safety and well-being, NSE is implementing a number of adaptations to the event for 2020.

NSE and Student Involvement worked together and have made the difficult decision to limit vendor registration at the Street Festival to businesses, non-profits, and UNL Departments. This was done solely in an effort to safely de-densify the Street Festival and direct RSO tabling opportunities to the Club Fair on Wednesday, August 26.

This rearrangement allows for social-distancing efforts to be better implemented at both events, and for NSE to best honor our Street Festival Guidelines for Safety and Sanitation. By hosting two medium-sized events, we can maximize RSO engagement opportunities with the new Husker Class of 2024. Additionally, with the Street Festival taking place on Sunday, August 16, we recognize that the majority of returning students and RSO representatives may not yet be on campus which naturally limits access to Street Festival participation.

If you are interested in hosting a booth during a Big Red Welcome event, please register to host a booth at Student Involvement’s Club Fair at the following link: https://bit.ly/RSOFall2020Events

Thank you for understanding. We are excited to see you all on campus in the Fall at the various events!
