Lincoln Children’s Museum is looking for partners for two new events at the Museum this spring. In April the Museum will have its first science event and in May will host an international culture day, and would love to have your group’s participation to make both events a great experience.
Science day will be held Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is a day for children to discover all the cool and fascinating opportunities that science has to offer. Lincoln Children’s Museum is looking for science groups interested in facilitating an interactive activity for elementary age children (12 and under) that will engage their interest and spark a desire to discover and learn more about the different fields of science. Each group will be able to design its activity according to its strengths, as long as it is fun, educational, and child appropriate.
Passport to Play is slated for Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will not only introduce children to various cultures from around the world, but will highlight those cultures that are a part of our community here in Lincoln and the surrounding area. At Passport to Play, children will have the opportunity to experience each culture in action and learn about the games, music, dance, art, traditional attire, and many other things that make each one unique, as well as see how we all live together. We invite any group that celebrates a culture to join us and share its knowledge with our families at this exciting event.
If you or your group has any interest in participating in either event, or has questions regarding the events, please call Jason Helgren at 402-477-4000 ext. 120 or email jhelgren@lincolnchildrensmuseum.org.
