Our Nebraska Empowering Every Story
Our Nebraska Empowering Every Story

Our Nebraska is a week-long event series from March 6th through March 10th featuring diverse speakers. Previously known as the Empowerment Forum, these events are open to students, faculty and staff members who are interested in learning how to become stronger leaders in their community. The events are free, with some featuring a lunch. Students who attend all events will be entered to win a $250 gift card to the University Bookstore.

This year’s theme is Empowering Every Story. Speakers will range from the founder of UNL’s Afrikan People’s Union, Martha Florence, to football coach Mike Riley. All speakers will discuss their life experiences and how that shaped their world view today.

Follow the Our Nebraska Facebook page to hear students talk about their Nebraska stories.

This event is sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and co-sponsored by the Diversity Council.
