Strength of the Month: Consistency

Consistency
Consistency

A student who is high in Consistency is keenly aware of the need to treat people the same, no matter what their situation in life. They do not want to see the scales tipped too far in any one person's favor as they feel that this lead to selfishness and individualism.

People with the strength of Consistency have the ability to see what is fair and equitable to others. Balance is important to them, and they are very mindful of how people are being treated, whether fairly or unfairly. These students desire to treat all people fairly, they want to avoid injustice and may find themselves supporting and volunteering for causes that seek equal and fair treatment of people.

As an RSO Advisor, keep these best practices in mind when advising RSO officers and members who are high in Consistency:
1.) Ask the student to help establish routines in the RSO that wants to create consistent practices.

2.) Put that student in an analytical role, ask them to work on group, rather than individual data. These students will more than likely be more adept at discovering generalizations.

3.) Help them find ways to volunteer for causes that seek equal and fair treatment of people.
