HELPFUL HIGHLIGHT

Each week I will be sharing tips, campus resources, and skills that can help you personally, academically, and professionally.

This week’s highlight is Drop-In Advising!

Through priority registration my schedule is full, but I have drop-in advising hours every Tuesday morning from 10:00am-12:00pm and Friday afternoon from 1:00-3:00pm. This is a great time to pop in and ask quick questions. In the link below, you’ll also find the drop-in hours for other CAS advisors if you have a second major or minor within the college and would like to check in with them.

Here is where you can find the drop-in advising schedule and the link to access the CAS Drop-In Advising Zoom Room: https://cas.unl.edu/drop-in-advising-schedule

ADVISING UPDATE

If you are searching for classes and not seeing some of the options for courses you thought were going to be offered, make sure you are including Distance delivery in your search! There are several classes offered online or through Web-Conferencing that are categorized as Distance.

Pay attention to the mode of instruction of the courses you’re enrolling in! There will be a few options, like Online (online, asynchronous), Web Conferencing (online, synchronous), and In-Person. If you enroll in an in-person, you are expected to be physically present unless you are in quarantine or have extenuating circumstances. These courses will not be as flexible as courses this semester in allowing you to attend class via Zoom.
