Latinx44 Scholarship Program

The Latinx44 Scholarship Program was created by former Obama White House staffers Antoinette Rangel and Alexa Kissinger and is funded by dozens of Latinx former Administration officials. The program will award several scholarships to Latinx students to help fund a public service oriented internship in Washington, DC. Recipients will also have mentoring and professional development opportunities throughout the program and beyond. Eligible internships will focus on policy, community engagement, community service, advocacy, or global relations. The opportunity is open to current college or graduate students, or May 2021 graduates (college includes community, technical, online, and other) who identify as Latinx/a/o.

The program will award at least 10 scholarships to Latinx students to help fund an unpaid or underfunded public service oriented internship in Washington, DC or virtually (given the pandemic). Each scholarship recipient will be awarded $1,500 for a summer 2021 internship. In addition, scholarship recipients will be paired with a mentor and professional development opportunities throughout the program and beyond.

Eligible internships will focus on policy, community engagement, community service, advocacy, or global relations. The Latinx44 Scholarship Program is now welcoming applicants for the summer 2021 cycle.

ELIGIBILITY
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

Be a current college or graduate student or 2020 or 2021 graduate (college includes community, technical, online, and other educational programs)

Identify as Latinx/a/o

Secured an identified public service internship in Washington, DC for summer 2021
