Why Global Studies: I love learning about new cultures and meeting people from all over the world, it changes your perspective on everything and it’s important to remember how big the world is but how small we can make it by connecting with people. One of the most interesting classes I took while abroad in Scotland was International Relations. I was able to see how important global relations are and how they affect people everywhere. I was able to visit Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as other smaller cities and towns and I was able to explore several castles. The locals were extremely friendly and welcoming and they have a great sense of humor. If you are a fan of Harry Potter then I definitely recommend you visit Scotland. J.K. Rowling wrote most of the books there and based many of her locations and people on places in Edinburgh.

Post-graduation plans: I have caught the travel bug so I hope to continue exploring the world by looking for jobs in the tourism business. I would love to move to Scotland and work there for a few years but we will see what the future holds!
