Seminar: Sustainable Farming

Charles Francis, a professor of Agronomy in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture at UNL will present "Sustainable Farming and Food Systems in the Great Plains," a free and open lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 3:30 p.m. at the Great Plains Art Museum in Lincoln.

Sponsored by the Center for Great Plains Studies, the seminar will address the future of farming and food systems, and the growing scarcity of resources. Francis will discuss the importance of sustainability in the face of climate change and variability, and the key role that education will play in securing food safety and the quality of life in the Great Plains.
