Ayse Kilic, a Hydrologic Information Systems Specialist received two awards at the American Society of Civil Engineers World Environmental & Water Resources Congress in May 2024.

The first award is the Royce J. Tipton award that is awarded to an individual each year “who has made a definitive contribution to the advancement of irrigation and drainage engineering management, these contributions being made either in the form of papers or other written presentations, or through notable performance, long years of service, or specific actions which have served to advance the science of irrigation and drainage engineering.” She is the first woman to receive this honor in the history of the award.

The second award is the Margaret S. Petersen award that is awarded annually to a woman ASCE or EWRI member “who has demonstrated exemplary service to the water resources and environmental science and engineering community.”
