SNR is planning to organize First Aid/CPR/AED training sessions to enhance our community's safety preparedness.

Training Details:
• Sessions will be held through Campus Recreation on City Campus
• Cost: $60 per person for a 2 hour in-person workshop (group rate for 10 or more participants)
• SNR staff expenses can be covered using departmental professional development funds
• Limited professional development funds are available to faculty who do not otherwise have funds available for this activity
• Student/grant-funded staff expenses should be covered by advising faculty/principal investigator

Why This Training Matters: In emergency situations, immediate response can make a critical difference. This training is particularly valuable for those involved in field work, where professional medical help may be delayed or difficult to access. Having these skills enables our team members to respond effectively to injuries, medical emergencies, or accidents that can occur during remote research, data collection, or outdoor educational activities. For everyone in our department, these competencies are transferable to situations outside the workplace as well, potentially enabling you to help family members, friends, or colleagues in need.

Next Steps:
1. ‎Please complete this form by close-of business on Friday, 4/18/2025 to:
• Express your interest in participating
• Indicate your general availability
• Identify funding source

Once we assess interest levels and availability, we will schedule specific training dates and times.

Thank you for helping make our SNR community safer!
